We are delighted that you have decided to stay in Villa Carona. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about our terms and conditions listed below to prevent any misunderstanding:
Room reservations are binding on both sides once your booking is confirmed, whether this is verbally, in writing, or by e-mail. You can check in from 15:00. If you arrive earlier, you can store your baggage in the Hotel Villa Carona baggage area until your room is ready. If the room has been cleaned and is ready before 15:00, you may have access to the room before then. The room is yours until 12:00 on the day of your departure. If you wish to check out later than 12:00, please contact the reception.
When booking we reserve the right to record your credit card information (credit card and security number) in order to guarantee your reservation.
Unfortunately, our four-legged friends do not have access to the breakfast room. They are very welcome in the garden. In the Ristorante "La Sosta", dogs that can sit under the table are allowed to accompany their owners. Dogs are allowed on the restaurant terraces. Pets must be kept on a lead at all times in the hotel, restaurant and garden. The owner is fully liable for any damage caused by pets.
This rule may apply only if we are unable to rent the room/s out to anyone else. However, it also applies in the case of late arrival or early departure. Cancellation insurance is the responsibility of the guest and is recommended by Villa Carona. Upon request, we will be happy to provide up-to-date recommendations as to where appropriate cancellation insurance can be taken out. If the guest does not take out cancellation insurance, cancellation costs will be borne in full by the guest or the guest's own insurance company in accordance with our cancellation conditions.

Hotelier's Liability for Damages
If a hotelier fails to provide reserved rooms as agreed, the guest is entitled to compensation for proven damages. This includes reimbursement of additional costs for suitable alternative accommodation (up to a maximum of five nights, depending on the length of the original booking), as well as transport costs to the new location. The guest’s personal perception of comfort or atmosphere in the replacement accommodation cannot be attributed to the hotelier, provided the agreed services have been properly delivered.
Guest’s Liability for Damages
If a hotelier is unable to re-rent a reserved room due to non-compliant use by the guest (e.g., cancellation, no-show, delayed arrival, or early departure), the hotelier may incur a financial loss. Bad weather (e.g. rain or cold) is not considered a valid reason for cancellation. In cases of extreme weather conditions, we review goodwill arrangements on a case-by-case basis. In such cases, the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 97 and Art. 264) stipulates that the guest is liable for the resulting damage. The calculation is generally based on our General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
We accept the following credit cards: VISA/MasterCard. In addition, you can also pay with cash (Swiss francs and euros at the house rate), by EC Direct, Postcard or Twint.
The exchange rate of the Swiss franc to the euro depends on the daily rate. The euro prices stated in our documents are only indicative only and are not binding!
